Our program is provided at no cost to our kids and their families.

Children are enrolled in our program by school personnel such as social workers, counselors, teachers, school nurses, etc.

The menus are designed to be nutritious, child friendly, easy to prepare, and healthy. Food menus are rotated to increase nutritional density and to offer expanded options to our kids.

All donations can be dropped off Monday-Thursday 9-4:30 at our warehouse at 3606 Market Street. Please text or call to confirm the office is open or to drop off on a Friday.

The food bags are packed and delivered by volunteers. School staff then discreetly put the bags in children’s backpacks.

NourishNC has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with New Hanover County Board of Education that allows us to operate our Backpack Program in all NHC schools. Our program could not exist without the hard work of school staff and administrators.
